NKOTBSB
A real example in the early 2010s. In 2010, these two boybands collaborated onstage at the Radio City Music Hall in NY, as the New Kids were on a comeback tour. Later that year, they began working on a collaboration recording, and in 2011 they released a joint compilation album. The combined band even toured together from 2011-12. BSB member Howie Dorough came up with the combined name, which is a combo of the acronyms of the groups' respective names.
