Band Name Origins:
- I read your confirmation of the origin of their name. I just wanted to share what I thought was the origin as it is quite intriguing. 2 of the best selling albums of all time were recorded on Abbey Road, exactly 3 doors down from each other: "The Dark Side Of The Moon" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". I thought they were very inciteful into martyrs of early rock. I was sure I was onto something until you enlightened me. Nonetheless, it would have been one of the greatest band name origins. Thanks for setting me straight. Submitted by: Gary Kelm
- They were playing a gig and an old building had an old sign that most of the letters had fallen off leaving "doors down." There were three members at the time and they became known as 3 Doors Down Submitted by: JacobScott
