A good song should make you wanna tap your foot and get with your girl. A great song should destroy cops and set fire to the suburbs. I'm only interested in writing great songs. - Tom Morello |

"Tom Morello" | "He has played in the supergroup Audioslave, released solo acoustic albums under the moniker 'The Nightwatchman', gives tutorials on Youtube about how he makes those innovative-crazy sounds on his electric 6-string ('You Too Can Be a Guitar God!') and on top of that - around 2014 when Little Steven Van Zandt was contractually involved in a movie project, Tom played guitar on the Bruce Springsteen 'High Hopes' album (some tracks, not all) and I saw him sub for Little Steven on that tour. During the band intros tom played a wacky guitar workout. Since it was 2014, the 'Year of the Beatles' (50th anniversary of them 'invading' America, which meant that nearly every band I saw that year played a Beatles song - TRUE), it was find of 'funny' to see Tom Morello w/ Nils Lofgren sharing a mic singing a Beatles song, as well as other NON-PROTEST popular classic gems that Bruce often does near the end of his 4 hour shows. The Repetitive Lyrics: Some of those that work forces
Are the same that burn crosses (repeats a lot)... And now you do what they told ya (repeat ad infinitum)... Those who died are justified For wearing the badge, they're the chosen whites. You justify those that died By wearing the badge, they're the chosen whites (repeat)... And now you do what they told ya [Now you're under control] (repeat ad infinitum). Why They're Repetitive: The whole song repeats the same lyrics.

The Nonsensical Lyrics: The pig who's free to murder one, Shucklack
Why They're Nonsensical: Most of this band's lyrics seem to make sense in my opinion, but I think the lead singer really got me puzzled with this one. I heard some guesses on that being a machine gun's noise getting loaded. Not quite convincing tho, so keep trying. Also, what the heck is "Shucklack"?.

The Dated Lyrics: More for Gore or the son of a drug lord. None of the above, f*** it, cut the cord!
Why They're Dated: This is referencing the then - upcoming election between Al Gore and George W. Bush. Two more elections have passed since then and one more is coming up. (and of course this comment will be dated eventually but I don't really care)
