Names -> Song Titles Not Used as Lyrics -> A

Some songs have titles that aren't used in the lyrics, and end up becoming better known for their lyrics than their title. Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" is better known for the refrain "Everybody must get stoned" than it is for the title.

The Academy Is Skeptics and True Believers Don't be so scared. It's harder for me. Don't be so scared - Ash
Alice Cooper Teenage Lament '74 Also known as "What Are You Gonna Do?", because he repeats this incessantly towrds the end. (But doesn't mention "Teenage lament".) - Rocky
All Saints Pure Shores I've listened to this song loads of times, and I just haven't heard it. - Natasha
Alter Bridge Metalingus I don't know how Alter Bridge comes up with the names of some of their songs! - Creedjaya
Anne Murray Christmas Wishes "If I Had My Way This Christmas" is the opening line, and hence a potential alternate "title". The lyrics do mention Christmas, as in the opening line, and also wishes. She enumerates three wishes in the lyrics, saying "My first wish" and "My third wish" at points, but never the phrase "Christmas Wishes". - Ava Murphy
Anne Murray Danny's Song Written by Kenny Loggins, Anne's version was a bigger hit. Sadly, Danny only appears in the title. The most well known section is probably: "And even though we ain't got money
I'm so in love with ya honey
Everything bring a chain of lo-o-o-o-ve" - Bob Borst
Ash Orpheus "Sunshine in the Morning" is repeated in the chorus; "Orpheus" never actually appears in the song. - Rich
Audioslave Cochise Go and save yourself Take it out on me - njdevil
