Comments: The folk song, "Yellow Rose Of Texas" was not written by Mitch Miller, and actually dates back to the 1830's. The yellow rose in question refers not to a flower, but to a person. Mitch Miller popularized the tune though taking it to #1 back in the fall of 1955.
