Band Name Origins:
- The band was originally named Polar Bear. A friend of Gary Lightbody was talking to him and asked, "How's Snow Patrol?" Lightbody corrected the friend and initially thought nothing of his mistake. Later on the band discovered the Polar Bear name was taken and switched to Snow Patrol. Submitted by: Martin
Why the Name is Stupid:
- It sounds like the kind of cheesy name a music group from the 80's would've had, not a contemporary band from today! Besides, when I hear, "Snow Patrol", the mental picture I get is some guys riding around in a beat-up truck in a snowstorm. Submitted by: Jonathan S.

Why: I'll correct my own correction - It is a second conditional sentence - which is a present conditional, not 'past' as I said above. The song words are correct - it's a classic 2nd conditional.
