There are those you could go years thinking to be the real lyrics without seeing anything amiss about them, like the second misheard version above. Why They're Inappropriate: How does the singer know his girlfriend's eyes are open when they kiss unless his are as well? A bit hypocritical I'd say. Can't you just see these two clowns pretending to kiss romantically whilst staring at each other eyeball to eyeball?
