"My Special Angel"
Misheard Lyrics: You are my sexual angel.
Original Lyrics: You are my special angel.
|
Story about this misheard lyric by: Amber D'allesio I was at my uncle's house. He was listening to this on a CD. I heard it faintly from another room, where I was struggling to sneak a hot dog back into a package (it was a tight fit). While concentrating on that, I was sure the song said, "My sexual angel". I later asked my uncle what the song was. He told me, and even showed me the CD cover. (I never told him my mishearing.) |
"Jingle Bell Rock"
The Nonsensical Lyrics: Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet;
That's the jingle bell rock. Why They're Nonsensical: Nice song generally, but these lines kind of lost their way. Jingle bells ON feet might jingle, but feet themselves don't jingle. But that is the least of the problems with these lines. HOW can anyone mix and mingle with feet (even assuming they have jingling bells on them and that is what is meant here). Luckily, one CAN'T get lost inside another's foot. Even if one could, how could THAT be "the jingle bell rock"?

"Jingle Bell Rock"
Opening Lines: Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Rock
Comments: Randy Travis' version doesn't immediately open with the above lyrics. His version opens with the lyrics "Bells on bobtails ring/Making spirits bright/What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight" actually taken from Jingle Bells.
