Leadbelly: "Assault; Murder"
Leadbelly was arrested for assault, but was pardoned by the governor after Leadbelly sang to him. Leadbelly was later arrested for murder, but was once again pardoned when he was "discovered" by the Lomaxes, the premier musical folklorists of the time.

Lemmy Kilminster: "Possesion (Amphetamine Sulfate)"
While on tour with his first band Hawkwind, Lemmy Kilminster (now of Motorhead) was stopped at the U.S./Canadian border for what the customs officers thought was Cocaine. It turned out to be Amphetamine Sulfate. He was released, but only played one more show with the band before being sacked.

Liam Galleger: "Posession of Coccaine"
Liam was pulled over in London and charged with posession of coccaine. The police decided to drop the charges because the coccaine in Liam's posession was intended for "personal" use.

Lil Kim: "Lying To Police and Obstruction of Justice"
Lil Kim whose real name is Kimberly Jones was tried and convicted of lying to the police stemming from an incident in which her rap entourage was shooting at a rival rap entourage.

She was sentenced for her crime to a year and one day in jail and a fine of $50,000.

Lil' Kim: "Perjury, conspiracy, obstruction of justice"
This gangsta rapper was sentenced for one year on accounts of allegedly lying to a jury that was probing a 2001 shooting in NYC involving members of her posse.

Lil' Kim: "Possession"
Her first arrest took place in 1996 when she was arrested for possessing marijuana. In 2006 she was sentenced to one year and one day in prison plus a $50.000 fine for perjury and conspiracy.

Lindsay Lohan: "D.U.I. (Driving Under Influence)"
Lohan, 20, and two other unidentified people were in the actresses' 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed at around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. It appeared she had been speeding and when police responded to a 911 call about the accident, the AP reported that officers found a "usable amount" of a drug they tentatively identified at the scene as cocaine. They would not say where the drug was found other than to confirm that Lohan was not carrying it.

Lostprophets: "Possession of child porn and child sex abuse"
Specifically, the disgraced frontman Ian Watkins who apparently had no remorse over the atrocities he did despite being sentenced to 35 years in prison. A senior investigating officer on the case described Watkins as a "committed, organised paedophile" and "potentially the most dangerous sex offender" he had ever seen.

Lostprophets: "Child Pornography"
For which lead singer Ian Watkins was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
