"Tradition" is a song from the musical, "Fiddler On The Roof" (music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, book by Joseph Stein, based on the stories by Sholom Aleichem). Zero Mostel played the character of Tevye in the 1964 original Broadway musical. In the 1971 motion picture, Tevye would be played by Topol.
