Story about this misheard lyric by: Song I know I'm not the only one to submit this, but I just learned this a couple of minutes ago and it totally blew my mind. I've heard this song many times, and I've never even questioned what I was hearing. I heard it recently, and sang part of it. This part. In public. It still sounds like that, even now. |

Lighter Side of Serious Bands:
"Sit Down, You're Rockin' The Boat"
Don Henley is best known as the front man of the Eagles, whose music was known for its sometimes poetic style. Mr. Henley took that style to a successful solo career in which he recorded several songs with social commentary. Then sometime in the early '90s, he recorded a laid-back rendition of this lighthearted tune from the classic musical 'Guys & Dolls,' and it got a surprising amount of radio play.

What A Band is Best Known For (aside from their music):
"Crude remarks about Glenn Frey and vomit"
Before The Eagles reunited in 1994, Henley was asked during a news conference if he would ever work with Frey again. His response was: "I'd rather eat my own vomit."
