Story about this misheard lyric by: Craig Johnson I've misheard this lyric ("see the light" instead of "sieben acht") since the album with this song on it came out many years ago; only "getting it" within the last couple of years. |

Repetitive Lyrics:
"Showroom Dummies"
The Repetitive Lyrics: Showroom Dummies We are showroom dummies
Why They're Repetitive: These lyrics repeat at the end of the song .. over and over and over -- you get the idea. It's so bad that I can barely listen to the song all the way through. One night when I was driving in the car with a friend of mine the song came on the radio and I tried to count how many times the lyrics repeat. I got distracted and lost count after 15.

| "Trans-Europe Express"
The Repetitive Lyrics: Trans-Europe Express (repeated many times)
Why They're Repetitive: Either the needle was stuck on that part of the record or Kraftwerk was stuck on stupid.

Misrhymed Lyrics:
"The Model"
The Misrhymed Lyrics: She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can I saw her on the cover of a magazine Why They're Misrhymed: I only put in the worst example of this. This song shows that Kraftwerk should have stuck to German lyrics. 'Champagne' and 'men' are also rhymed in another part of the song. 'Time' and 'mind' are also rhymed, but consonant mismatches don't irritate me as much. Still, this song has some of the worst rhyming in history.

"Wir fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n auf dir autobahn." The longest song's been cut right down to 3:27. It topped the #25 Hot 100 Billboard Charts in '75. When I listen to Kraftwerk at bedtime, it soothes me to sleep.
