"There Goes My Baby"
The Misrhymed Lyrics: There goes my baby
Moving on down the line Wondering where, wondering where She is bound. Why They're Misrhymed: This gorgeous Leiber-Stoller song isn't really misrhymed. It just doesn't rhyme at all. Yet I didn't notice that for twenty years, I think because the sounds and the feelings jibe so well.

boardwalk! Why They're Inappropriate: Romanticizing public indecency... how is nobody seeing anything wrong with that?

"Saturday Night At The Movies"
The Dated Lyrics: Who cares what picture you see
When you're huggin' with your baby In the last row in the balcony? Why They're Dated: Balcony? What balcony? There used to be a balcony of upper seats in most every movie theater. But now who's seen a balcony in a movie theater in years? Maybe decades? Now's there's a whole generation of movie-goers who wouldn't relate to a balcony of a theater.

"On Broadway"
The Lyrics: They say the neon lights are bright On Broadway They say there's always magic in the air On Broadway But when you're walking down the street And you ain't had enough to eat The glitter rubs right off, and you're nowhere On Broadway
Why: This mid-1960's hit tune by the Drifters mentions in both the title and the lyrics (with me posting the opening verse of the tune) "Broadway", probably one of the most familiar theatre districts (in New York City) in the world.
