Story about this misheard lyric by: Cody Finke

Again, why we hear "disguise" instead of "the sky/skies" and vice versa.

Misrhymed Song Lyrics:

"Caught Up in You"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
I'm so caught up in you
Little girl
And I never did suspect a thing
So caught up in you
Little girl
That I never wanna get myself free
Why They're Misrhymed:
"Thing" and "free" aren't even close to rhyming. Still a great song.

How to Pronounce a Band Name:

"Thirty-Eight Speh-shull
That's right, it's not "point three-eight special" or "thirty-eight-hundredths special" (i.e., you don't read the .38 like a typical decimal); it's not even "thirty-eight cent(s) special" either. The band's name refers to a type of cartridge used in weaponry. Sometimes the band has written its name without a decimal point, so that no one is confused as to how to read the number.

What A Band is Best Known For (aside from their music):

"Chart Peak Position = Number in Band Name"
During the autumn of 1982 the band .38 Special scored another hit on the Hot 100. "You Keep Running Away" peaked at #38 on the countdown. Coincidence or what?
