a parody of "Spider-Man Theme Song " by Theme Songs
“Animals-Man” by The Bilderbergers is an animated music video parody of the classic Spider-Man theme song about a strange superhero who has far too many animal powers. While chasing criminals, Animals-Man runs into a number of problems while maintaining control of a single power. It eventually spills over into his normal life. The silly music video was produced by Josh Poole of Above Average and animated by Dan Markowitz.

Misheard Lyrics Stories:

"Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers"
Misheard Lyrics:
No no it never fails, they'll take the clues
Fight for the reds, the whites, and blues
Original Lyrics:
No, no it never fails, they'll take the clues
And find the wheres and whys and whos

Story about this misheard lyric by: Tracy

I thought this was some sort of bizarre display of patriotism in the midst of the "Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers" theme song. The weird thing is that since I haven't seen the show in practically forever (let alone heard the theme song), I've been thinking that those lyrics I misheard were strange but accurate for almost 20 years!:)

Song Parody Fragments:

"Candid Camera"
Better Lyrics:
Cry! You're on hidden camera!
Original Lyrics:

"Can You Tell Me How To Get To Sesame Street"
Better Lyrics:
Cloudy day
Everything's grouchy gray
Looks like rain
Or maybe snow or sleet
Yeah the sky is just as gray
Just as gray as elephant feet
Just as gray as elephant feet etc...
Original Lyrics:
Sunny day sweeping the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Sesame Street?

"Theme from "That Girl""
Better Lyrics:
If you find one girl to love
Only on girl to love
Then hell will freeze over for you.
Original Lyrics:
If you find one girl to love
Only on girl to love
Then she'll be "That Girl" too.

Nonsensical Song Lyrics:

"Winchell Mahoney Time"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
[kids] Hurray! Hurrah!
[Paul] And what's the secret password?
[kids] Scotty-Wotty Doo-Doo,
Scotty-Wotty Doo-Doo,
Scotty Wotty Doo-Doo Paul!
Why They're Nonsensical:
How much of a 'secret' can this nonsensical password be if 1) all those kids say it out loud and 2) It is (or, was) heard at the start of every segment of the show? Even though Paul Winchell nods and gestures in approval when the kids say it.

Comments:

Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics:

"Flipper"
The Lyrics:
No-one you see is smarter than he
Why:
It should be "him"; not "he", but "him" doesn't rhyme with "see."
Submitted by: Isac
"Mystery Science Theater 3000"
The Lyrics:
In the not-too-distant future
Next Sunday A.D.
There was a guy named Joel
Why:
If we're talking about the future, why are we using past-tense verbs?

Songs That Are Banned:

"Suicide Is Painless (Theme from "MASH")"
Banned by the BBC during the Gulf War
Submitted by: Evan

Lyrics Pronunciation:

"One Day At A Time"
The Lyrics:
So hold on tight and we'll muddle through, one day at a time
Why:
The singer sings the words "muddle through" as "muttle to". So she sounds my like a Brooklynite even though the series takes place in Indianapolis.
Submitted by: Opie M.
"The Addams Family"
The Lyrics:
The house is a museum
When people come to see 'em
They really are a scre-am
Why:
They had to pronounce "scream" as "scre-am" to make it rhyme with "museum" and "see 'em"
Submitted by: Isac
