Story about this misheard lyric by: J.P. Masiongale I was about 6 when I first heard this song. I'm 22 now, and for the longest time, I swore this was the way the song went. I thought it was hilarious. I had the habit, still do actually, of singing a song and when I got to a part I didn't know the words to. I would just mumbo jumbo through it and try to make it sound right. I do that a lot with Little Richard too. But still, this is a great song. |

Misrhymed Lyrics:
"I'm Gonna Be A Wheel"
The Misrhymed Lyrics: I'm gonna be a wheel one day
I'm gonna be somebody I'm gonna be a real gone cat And then I won't want you Why They're Misrhymed: He pronounces somebody 'some-bod-day', which really tacky.

| "Walking To New Orleans"
The Misrhymed Lyrics: Got my suitcase in my hand
Now, ain't that a shame Why They're Misrhymed: In any other artist's voice, this wouldn't cut it. But Fats pronounces them both so closely, it's almost natural.

Upbeat Songs With Depressing Lyrics:
"Blueberry Hill"
The Lyrics: The wind in the willow played
Love's sweet melody. But somehow the vows you made Were never to be. Though we're apart, You're part of me still. For you were my thrill On Blueberry Hill. Why: Although the tune is upbeat and the breezy setting stirs with nature's vibrancy, and "love's sweet melody" is referred to, the song is basically a lament about lost love.

| "Ain't That A Shame "
The Lyrics: You made me cry
when you said, "goodbye" Ain't that a shame? my tears fell like rain. Why: This song may have a nice, jazzy beat to it (as is true of nearly all Fats Domino songs), but that doesn't change the fact that it's sung from the point of view of a guy whose girlfriend/wife/whatever has left him.
