Band Name Origins:
- Was trying to to get a gig for the then 7 piece unnamed soul band. Ents convener at Dundee University, Keith Harris (Stevie Wonder Management) asked, "Are they any good?" The reply was, "Well, they are better than the average white band." Submitted by: obelix
- In the '70's, the popular slang phrase in Scotland, when describing something, was to end it was to end it with: "for the average white man". For example: "How cold is it outside?"
