Why:
In order to make it rhyme with "fancy," Bryan Ferry pronounces "dilettante" as "dill-uh-TANT-ee," when it is actually "DILL-uh-tont!" (As this song taught me the word "dilettante" in the first place, needless to say, it puzzled me quite a bit!)
