You mean you can read the person's mind?! I don't know that it's at all possible to see anything in one's thoughts, let alone know one's thoughts! Unless you're a psychic...which I doubt the narrator is.

Why They're Nonsensical:
Are they suggesting that girls aren't people? Or do they mean "especially girls"? If so, that's what they should've said in this line. (Of course, it would require more syllables, but I'm sure they could've rewritten the song to accommodate those syllables.)
