This was the sort of sheer, unintelligable kack being pounded out by Jackson and some other singers during his heyday. I mean,just what are we being handed here? We know he's bad in what sense exactly? That he's literally bad? Or that he's one of these supercool, arrogant tossers, so wrapped up in themselves that they'll come down on percieved lesser mortals like a ton of bricks if they so much as look at them in a funny way? Or that he's bad in an OK kind of way, as in he'll definately be no pushover,and woe betide you if you think he is? A little clarification would go a long way with such songs,but oh no. They just went on thumping out drivel like, You know I'm bad. Doesn't end even here,ofcourse,for they had to round it out with something even more crazy like,Who's bad?Guys,let me tell you that over the years I have had my senses assaulted by some really spaced out junk,but stuff like the above has always been right up there on my hate list.

Rock with you is the third in a trilogy of numbers which are not only nonsensical,but also hold a disconcerting memory for me,the others being Working my way back to you and Afternoon delight.They featured heavily on the radio around the time I'd not long found myself at sixteen/seventeen chucked into the scarey world of work,and a particularly irksome,tiring and downright scarey job it was too.The irksome aspect was worsened by the fact that they always had this infernal radio going in the warehouse,and those three numbers never seemed to be off the wretched thing.Possibly the one which seemed to annoy me most was Rock with you.I had decided recently to check out the actual lyrics of these three offending songs of my tender years in the workplace.Back then Afternoon delight and Rock with you sounded a bit strange to me in presentation,but all three would also prove to contain some pretty wierd stuff in the lyrics department.[Let that rhythm get into you.Don't try to fight it-Like,what is the guy talking about?What's with all this emotive garbage about battling against a dance beat?Nor is this the only number in which that type of garbage surfaces ofcourse.-And when the groove is dead and gone,you know that love survives.-Yet more of the same type of garbage.It doesn't stop there.This intrepid duo are gonna ride the boogie,share that beat of love,feel the heat.He want's to rock with her right through the night till break of dawn.He wants her to close her eyes and let all this get into her.They've got so much more of this funky stuff to get through.]The whole thing reads today like the world's greatest pile of bull.What could be worse guys?The fact that possibly some of the world's greatest piles of lucre was gleaned from this and many other outpourings of musical bull over the years?Yes,that's what's even worse,and I'm not talking out of jealousy either.That's a fool's game.I'm talking out of sheer annoyance, bordering almost on sheer disbelief, that fortunes have been accrued on the writing and singing of sheer bull.I fully appreciate properly written and presented material,yet have also found myself studying the other side of the coin.Guys,one thing I've consistently found with the latter.No matter what way you try to look at a pile of kack,it's never going to appear as anything other than a pile of kack.Fewer piles of it come higher than something like Rock with you.
