Why They're funny:
Way to make a fool of yourself, this is not a Robert Johnson song.

Led Zeppelin's, "Dancing Days"
The Funny Lyrics:
'I saw a lion he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar'
Why They're funny:
The only reason these lyrics are funny is because they dont make much sense. Page and Plant were probably on acid when they wrote it. Now thats funny. It probably is a metaphor. I would also like to correct the others who called this song funny and wrote the wrong lyrics and wrong title, you shouldnt talk about things you dont know about. Also the person that wrote about Traveling Riverside Blues has problems, Zeppelin didnt even write that song, its a cover of a Robert Johnson song from the 30s, you went into great depth of making a moron of yourself congratulations.

The Funny Lyrics:
I saw a lion he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar.
Why They're funny:
I really don't believe it to be 'funny' but more a metaphor,...for what I don't know.

Led Zeppelin's, "Dancing Day"
The Funny Lyrics:
I saw a lion he was dancin' alone
Tadpole in a jar
Tadpole in a jar
Why They're funny:
What makes it funny is when you realize two things: First, that Led zeppelin knew about it, but kept it anyway. Second, what in the world made Plant say that!? It's mind boggling, and just plain hilarious when you realize you could ponder the meaning for ten hours and still not get anywhere. Now *that's* a lyric that has absolutely no meaning whatsoever. Dancin' Lion? Tadpole? Jar? Alone? You just gotta laugh.

Led Zeppelin's, "Ramble On"
The Funny Lyrics:
T'was in the darkest depths of mordor
I met a girl so fair
but gollum, and the evil wargs
crept up and slipped away with her.
I met a girl so fair
but gollum, and the evil wargs
crept up and slipped away with her.
Why They're funny:
Is there any need for an explanation as to why they're funny! just so random!

Led Zeppelin's, "Stairway To Heaven"
The Funny Lyrics:
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, Don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May Queen
Why They're funny:
1.)whats that about a hedgerow? random! 2.)Why are they spring cleaning YOUR hedge for the May Queen??? 3.)what/who is a May Queen? This may be because of the satanic message when played backwards

Led Zeppelin's, "Travelin Riverside Blues"
The Funny Lyrics:
Squeeze my lemon till the juice runs down my leg.
Squeeze it so hard I fall right outta bed.
You gotta...Squeeeeze my lemon...till the juice runs down my leg
(I-wonder-if-you-know-what-I'm-talkin-about)
Oh the way you squeeze it gal - I know I'll all right outta bed
(same song)
I'll set her front teeth aligned....
(and later)
she's my brown skinned sugar-plum
Squeeze it so hard I fall right outta bed.
You gotta...Squeeeeze my lemon...till the juice runs down my leg
(I-wonder-if-you-know-what-I'm-talkin-about)
Oh the way you squeeze it gal - I know I'll all right outta bed
(same song)
I'll set her front teeth aligned....
(and later)
she's my brown skinned sugar-plum
Why They're funny:
Well I thinks it's funny he said the lemon lyrics out loud (what guts! I think *everybody* knew what he was talkin about) And 'front teeth aligned'? what the heck does that line mean? It always catches me and I gotta laugh Also 'brown skinned sugar plum' means his wife - who he met when she was sixteen and is of Indian origin (she is from India) Also there are a few errors in above: '...tadpole in a jar lyric' is from the song Dancin Days - not D'yer maker! Also 'backdoor man' into those days meant a wife was having an affair - her lover left through the back door when her husband came home. It does not have to do with anal sex! In fact if you listen to 'Since I've been lovin you' yu hear the lyric '...open my front door, I hear my back door slam' Also does any one hear the phone ringing in the song 'the Ocean'? Listen care fully! Led Zep Rules!

Led Zeppelin's, "Whole Lotta Love"
The Funny Lyrics:
I wanna be your back door man
Why They're funny:
I don't know that this lyric is funny, but I think that it could have another meaning aside from he wants to do her up the butt. Maybe he wants to be her secret lover and slip out the back door. She might have a boyfriend or he has a girlfriend and he just wants to come by and have fun with no commitments then leave her place unseen.
