Real Lyrics -> Dumbest -> Traditional

These are lyrics by Traditional that we think are kind of dumb.

Traditional's, "Home For The Holidays"
The Dumbest Lyrics:
From Atlantic to Pacific, Gee the traffic is terrific.
Why They're Dumb:
Perhaps the only positive comment about traffic ever made! This line always sounded very silly to me.

Traditional's, "The First Noel"
The Dumbest Lyrics:
In fields where lay, lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep
Why They're Dumb:
As most people are aware these days, these lines are really dumb. In the Holy Land shepherds don't keep their sheep in the fields at the beginning of winter--they are, or were in Jesus' time, kept in the folds. I admit that as a kid I sang and heard these lines for years without realizing they didn't sound right.

Traditional's, "Winter Wonderland"
The Dumbest Lyrics:
Gone away is the bluebird. Here to stay is the new bird.
Why They're Dumb:
What exactly is a new bird?
