Real Lyrics -> Dirty Songs You Didn't Know Were Dirty -> Elvis Costello

Sometimes a song you hear for the first time, is innocent and sweet sounding. Then you listen closer to the lyrics, and realize it's talking about stuff you didn't realize. Double-entendres help disguise the filthiest of songs.

Elvis Costello's, "Love Went Mad"
The dirty Lyrics:
I wish you luck with a capital F
Why They're dirty:
Way too obvious. We all know that if you replace the "L" at the beginning of the word "luck" with an "F," you get a certain four-letter word. A two-year-old could probably figure that out.

Elvis Costello's, "Mystery Dance"
The dirty Lyrics:
I can't do it anymore and I'm not satisfied. I can't do it anymore and I'm not satisfied. Well I remember when the lights went out and I was tryin' to make it look like it was never in doubt. She thought that I knew, and I thought that she knew, so both of us were willing, but we didn't know how to do it.
Why They're dirty:
The entire song is about a frustrating first sexual experience. "Mystery" is obviously a reference to the young man's not knowing anything about sex.
