Parody Song Title:

"Give Me That Old-Time Derision"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Oh, the man they called Mark Twain
if you'd hear what he's sayin'
you'd laugh so hard that pain
soon would come to you again.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Oh, the Oklahoman Will
he keeps us laughing still.
Mister Rogers, what a thrill
and, yes, he was neighborly.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Oh, the USO man Bob
he would always do his job
some joke bombs he would lob
even at the Presidency.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

And let me not neglect
and give proper respect
to Rodney so henpecked
in his Dangerfield effect.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Since the days of Eisenhower
Mark Russell's had the power
to bring a laughter shower
though the politicians glower.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Allen Sherman made big bucks
writing songs about some schmucks.
Dead at 49? No luck
but he's good enough for me.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Oh, late nights in a fog
came the Carson monologue
'round the news Johnny would jog
and bring cash to NBC.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

Oh, that Weird Al Yankovic
he's the parodier's top pick
even as an Amish hick
and he's good enough for me.

Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
Gimme that old-time derision.
It's good enough for me.

And let's not forget Don Rickles
Swingin' insults just like sickles
Hurts you so much that it tickles
We're all hockey pucks to he!

Lets not forget Jack Benny Who was pinching every penny. Now can you come up with one about Urkel? I really miss Allan Sherman and his inside jokes. He once said that his neighbors were so anti Semitic that the kids were selling Hitler Youth cookies.

Johnny: CPO Sharkey can kiss my puck. Eagle: Already mentioned Urkel in "Jumping O'er the Shark," and I'd rather not mention him again. Alvin: "Deriders On the Storm"?
