Agrimorfee: Being a Scandinavian I think it´s about this: Norge is the Norwegian´s own name for Norway, and the Norwegians are, due to the will of Alfred Nobel, also responsible for the Nobel Peace Prize. Sweden gets to decide on the rest, those that doesn´t really matter in the mundane world.
