"We Are Climbing Bailout's Ladder"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

As the bailouts continue and the national debt and money supply escalate, we all wonder where it will stop, and how different America will become. My parody of this old hymn sums up the fears of those who hope and count their change while others deal in billions.
We are climbing bailout's ladder;
Nickel-diming wakes us, sadder.
D.C. crime ring makes us madder;
We are getting cross.

Deficit grows high and higher
While economy grows dire.
Will this market find a buyer
Who can stem the loss?

Sinner, riches love like Croesus,
Live high life above and fleece us;
With your bonus buy or lease us,
And leave us the dross.

Though you love it, please reserve it,
Congress says you don't deserve it;
They can shove the blame, preserve it
For the current boss. (of AIG)

Fed control climbs high and higher,
As those Socialists conspire,
Sink economy in mire
With their double-cross.

Senator Dodd took money from AIG. His office then wrote the provision allowing AIG to pay big bonuses to its executives out of money stolen from taxpayers and their descendants. That is bribery, plain and simple. Why isn't Senator Dodd in jail?

Some people blame bankers, and some people blame borrowers, and not without justification. But this parody targets the biggest culprits - our lawmakers. Very well rhymed, too.

Fine job on the "oss" rhyming.

Found this site while looking for something else. Rhyming was good; didn't find it funny because it is sadly so true. Good job.
