Well, if this was released as a single, I guess it wouldn't be the A-side ;-) (can I be a little pedantic and point out you seem to have missed a line- it finishes "For there's lots of girls besides/ I would like to be beside/Beside the seaside/Beside the sea". But rhyming "flowers" with "buzz" was a fun sort of idea :-)
Thanks Phil! This was inspired by me singing the title of my parody for no apparent reason, and subsequently it sounded so excellent I decided to write the whole parody.
Squire Jason, very cute write! The fuzzy blk/yellow bees are out in full force on the Coast, as the orange poppy & the mustard weeds are in full blloom. I love fuzzy bees!

(SOTM) Jason, buddy, surely you can do a full song. . .I'm not really familiar that well with the OS, but when taking on a song that can be done in verses, you can always expand it to allow more comedy. This one doesn't really put your best foot forward Jace, I know you can do better than this.

(SOTM-Apr-08) I've read the book, now I've read the parody - I'm waiting for the movie now. I understand it will be of the "B" variety.
The YouTube link goes to a 43 second long instrumental... that's not TOS is it? I don't have time to track down the correct song now Anyway, ten lines of lyrics would have to be a lot funnier than these to be a SOTM contender. Not bad for use as a kid's song though. Sweet, but it needed some sting.
SOTM- I think you have a great idea that could have benefit from more lyrics. Not really funny, but still good. Oh, bee-hive!
