Parody Song Title:

"Where Have All the Flounders Gone?"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Where have all the flounders gone?
Long lines passing.
Where have all the flounders gone?
Long lines we throw.
Where have all the flounders gone?
Young girls fish them every one.
When will they grab that worm?
I mean fish. . .grab the worm.

Where have all the young girls gone?
Long lines passing.
Where have all the young girls gone?
No time, Coho.
Where have all the young girls gone?
Gone to hung men every one.
They have renounced one worm
For a different type worm.

Where have all the hung men gone?
Long time lassing.
Where have all the hung men gone?
Long time in throes.
Where have all the hung men gone?
Gone for sole-diers, leching done.
Wenches these men have spurned;
Pescatory things yearned.

Where have all the sole-diers gone?
Long lines passing.
Where have all the sole-diers gone?
Long lines they throw.
Where have all the sole-diers gone?
Gone to bay’s charms every one.
For fish their ardor burns,
For fish their larder yearns.

Where have all the bay charms gone?
Long pines rafting.
They have balls. . .and babe charms yon—
Long pines, they grow.
Where has all the bait scarfed gone?
Gone to flounders every one.
With krill they’re fetched by sperm;
Drilled hills will fetch guys’ sperm.

We *always* take the bait, don't we? ;)

I thought this was going to be about the Gulf of Mexico. Pete Seeger, still alive at age 91 and a major environmental activist these last few decades, probably has something to say about that, if anyone would bother to ask him.

Your sense of humor is definately "wharfed". But that's a good thing. I think with that title you caught us all hook, line and stinker. Well posed Sir John of Waterford.

(Ya never know what JB is thinking)

And I thought that there are plenty of fish in the sea! You caught 3 sets of 5's with this one!

I also though that this was going to be about the Gulf spill... This was good anyways, but knowing you I'm expecting a Gulf Spill version coming up in the near future.

You sure aren't floundering around writing parodies. 3k here you come.

Very imaginative use of TOS's circular path, and the last line was killer.
