Song Parodies -> "Song Sung Stewed"

Original Song Title:

"Song Sung Blue"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Neil Diamond

Parody Song Title:

"Song Sung Stewed"

Parody Written by:

Scathe

The Lyrics

Song sung stewed
No one wants to hear it
Song sung stewed
Can't make out the lyrics

Me and you are subject to the drunks now and then
But when they drink and try to sing a song
They're damaging our ears
Damaging our ears

Song sung stewed
You should hear them howl
Song sung stewed
We need Simon Cowell

Real good song, but they can't sing it with the booze in their brain
And before they know, their boo-ed off the stage
Don't go up there again

(crowd boos, a beer bottle hits the wall)

Me and you are subject to bad songs now and then
But when they drink and try to sing the song
Just hurl them out the door

Song sung stewed
Song's by Eric Clapton
Song sung stewed
Sounds like Peter Frampton

Funny thing, but when they sing with an alcohol refrain
There's isn't a drink, to make it sound good

LOL'ed at "We need Simon Cowell" and the Clapton-turns-to-Frampton references Scathe, altho Frampton is some guitar player even, or especially, today - 555

Groucho: "Do you have any stewed prunes?"

Ship's Steward: "Why yes, of course we do, sir."

Groucho: "Well, give 'em some black coffee, that ought to sober 'em up."

Great subs throughout, and really funny lines that Stuart mentioned. This could be any karaoke bar in the world.555

This is an accurate description of karaoke anywhere, especially at the Ellis Island casino in Las Vegas when this guy gets up on stage and sings an off-key version of Phil Collins' Another Day in Paradise
