Song Parodies -> "Shoplift Then Hoof It"

Original Song Title:

"The Wiffenpoof Song"

Original Performer:

Bing Crosby

Parody Song Title:

"Shoplift Then Hoof It"

Parody Written by:

Barry J. Mitchel

The Lyrics

"Flash Mobs" that invade high-end stores in California and elsewhere are becoming all too commonplace, spurred by lax law enforcement.and subsequent lack of prosecution. They wield tools to break windows and display cases then exit quickly to getaway cars. They defeat security cameras by wearing black hoodies and face masks. In my lyrics, accent the second syllable in "shoplift" since they are lifting rather than shopping.
To the tables down at Macy's
To displays at "Louie Vit"
To the nearby Title Loan where they can sell
Sting Shoplift-Then-Hoofs assembled with their smashers raised on high
And the damage of their swinging blasts its hell

Yes, the damage of their swinging at displays devised to sell
Shall their hasting and maneuvers stand the test
They will re-invade" old Louie" while merchandise shall last
Then they'll pass and be forgotten for arrest *

They're B.L.M. scamps who have lost their way
Bash, bash, bash
They're middle-class creeps who have gone astray
Bam, bam, bam

Juvenile mobsters off on a spree
Groomed concealing identity
Courts, have mercy on thugs, set free
Bad, bad, bad

* or "Then they'll pass with their ill-gotten of the best"
