Parody Song Title:

"Got a Phone For Christmas"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Got a phone for Christmas:
brand-new Galaxy.
When it broke, it seemed like smoke
was coming out of me.
Christmas peeves inclined me
to another team.
Screw this phone—I ditched it
and phoned a different scheme.

New iPhone for Christmas
didn't come cheaply.
So much dough I had to blow,
but then, rather quickly,
I was grieved to find the
thing was not a dream.
Took the phone and pitched
into a freezing stream…
first moaned, then bitched, then SCREAMED!

My cousin had one of the early cordless phones. I saw him become so frustrated with it that he hurled it against the wall. I still use a landline with a rotary dial. Even have one of the last candlestick phones in reserve.
