The Lyrics

DKTOS? A good cover version is here, lyrics are here. This song was originally by the Meat Puppets, who were with Nirvana during the Unplugged performance.
[intro]

Here's my song folks - have a good time
It's not for the children and I'll tell you why
(I've) gone and remade some nursery rhymes
Hear 'em again from my twisted 'ol mind

Knew a young lady - who was kind of cute
Man she had it all - for a prostitute
Her cat you could cradle for a twenty or two
Little Jack horned her after Little Boy Blue

Carry on folks - have a good time
It's not for the children and I'll tell you why
(I've) gone and remade some nursery rhymes
Hear 'em again from my twisted 'ol mind

Humpty Dumpty's on the wall
Dialed the tele placed a special call
The 10 minute wait just killed his balls
And that's really the true reason why Bad Humpty did fall

Very wrong jokes - I won't deny
They weren't for the children and now you know why
(I) went and remade some nursery rhymes
This is the end hope you had a good time

"cat you could cradle" - Born with "Silver spoon" in your parody mouth, Red Ant? Next line great as well. 555

Thanks John, Peter, AFW, Alvin, Pat, Step-chan, Joel, Blue Ant, MrMac and TT.

John: A goose slaughter is something I won't miss.

Peter: Right now she is Sleepinggood, which is the next best thing.

Pat: Yes, he filled in her blanks. ;D

Joel: Ah, not yet, though I am working on completingthe Unplugged album - next is "Plateau".

Blue Ant: Someone reported your comment, but I did see it before it got deleted. I actually have a fully completed parody of Lithium in my notepad, however the content would be a bit disturbing to the company I work for - lets just say I'll post it after I no longer work for them.
BR>TT: Nope, just silver nitrate in the eyes, but that was/is standard procedure. ;D Actually, that line was ripped from Henry Chapin's song - I have an idea for that one, but it is destined for whatfreaks should I ever develop the idea further.

Wtf?? I haven't even looked at this parody yet! Did someone forge a comment under my name?

Btw, I Dktos, which is probably why I ain't looked at it yet. But I am sure it is well written, and I plan on 5-5-5-ing it.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know there was a Blue Ant on here already. Is there a Green Ant? If not, then that'll be my alias.

Thanks Larry, LL, and my fellow ants. The Real Blue Ant: Yes, someone did. The Fake Blue Ant: I haven't seen Green Ant, so it is all yours.

(ABC) Wish there were more verses (I know that could not be helped)! I didn't get the Humpty joke.
Matthias - February 21, 2008 - Report this comment
Not exactly up to your usual standard, it was an awesome idea, but the repetition of the chorus, and I also didn't understand the Humpty joke... So, I'm sorry Jack this isn't really a favorite of mine.

As I'm over 21, could you read a few of these bedtime tales to me, Sir ~ L 'Ant Rouge ~ ??
Guy - March 01, 2008 - Report this comment
Some Grimm tales here Mr. Ant. Don't care much for the OS but you did well with the parody.
Below Average Dave - March 01, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4N) This one was ok, the only problem Red Ant is that I didn't really get a huge laugh or anything, but not everything can be drop dead funny, your rhyming on this one was perfect, I can't say I really got into this one.
bobpiecheese - March 02, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4) The concept was interesting, but it needed a longer OS than this. SO much could've been done with it, but the length of the OS worked against it.
stuart mcarthur - March 05, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4) wow, you are king of the original ideas, Jack, and "Little Jack horned her after Little Boy Blue" is one of your best lines ever - even using a Nirvana song in a satirical take on nursery rhymes was a good idea - 555
Invisible Boy - March 05, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4N)I thought the idea was great. If I had written it I think you would have mentioned the (mostly)repeated chorus and the short OS you chose. You should apply this concept to a longer OS as the potential for hilarity is endless.
Kristof Robertson - March 05, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC4N) The biggest criticism I have of this, Jack...is that it is in no way long enough. You barely got started on these great funny ideas, and the bloody OS ended! I'd like to see a reprise.....555
