Parody Song Title:

"Puchiko"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A fairly cute parody about my favorite character from Digicharat.
She should have played a game with friends
she should have had some stamps to send
she should have sighed when they were bored
she should have used her lasers more

Yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko...

She tends to pop up in a crowd
she tends to make Kimura proud
she tends to nail it with her glance
she tends to get another chance

Yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko...

Yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko...

She could have made a date with friends
she could have used more cash to spend
she could slept here in the store
she could have shot her lasers more

Yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko
yes she is, Puchiko...

Thank you alivin!

Oops! Didn't mean to mispell your name(I need to learn how to type better).

544, great rhyming but the name references are lost on me. I didn't get this line at all: "she should have had some stamps to send". While the chorus doesn't lend much flexibility I would have given you a 545 if they had been varied even slightly. Sorry bro.
Stuart McArthur - February 16, 2006 - Report this comment
wow, DKTOS or Digitarat or Puchiko, but you nailed the pacing, Stephen - minimalist and sweet - 555
Stephen Harrington - February 16, 2006 - Report this comment
In my case, well.. the stamp line is a reference to the something in one of the books I have, so it is definetly lost on anyone who hasn't read it(it doesn't make much since to me either, if I would have been more descriptive, it would have hurt the pacing). No problem Red and thank you for your honesty, I just couldn't think of anything else for the chorus that I liked. Thank you Stuart for your vote and comment.

On behalf of Spelling Cop, I think he's doing us good service by pointing out the spelling flubs (some of which are inconsequental, so he'll probably let us off on some, liek this one).
Btw, I DKTOS, so I won't vote. Did TOS hit the charts at all?
Larry Hensley - February 16, 2006 - Report this comment
DKTOS & DK Puchiko, but nice parody anyway.

WTF is going on here?
Mr Critic - February 23, 2006 - Report this comment
I was just asking a simple question as to whether this original song was ever a hit on the charts, and then some "Site Slueth" had to say I was all the parody police units. Well I got news for you: I may sometimes act like spelling police or decade police etcetera etcetera, but that's when the real entities of those names don't show up.

Now, was TOS ever a hit? If so, what position(s) did it peak at?
Stephen Harrington - February 23, 2006 - Report this comment
Since you don't know the original song, it really should matter. Besides, I don't know if it was ever on the charts. Only songs like SLTS, Lithium and CAYA I remember being on the charts(where I don't know).
Calop - February 23, 2006 - Report this comment
By SLTS and CAYA, I'm sure you're referring to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come As You Are", respectively? I'm sure all those hits were on Billboard's Modern Rock charts. "All Apologies" and "In Bloom" I'm sure were up there too.

Mr. Critic, I honestly DKTOS either. Maybe that's why there's only a few votes on here. Because many people are not familiar with this song. In fact, there's lots of obscure songs that have been parodied on this site, that many folks won't know. But I'm sure this parody was well constructed.
Stephen Harrington - February 23, 2006 - Report this comment
Yes I was, I use the library internet and was down to a few minutes before being booted off, so I didn't have time to mention everything and songs with long names I shortened. Is am cool. ; )
Stephen Harrington - February 24, 2006 - Report this comment
I meant to say "shouldn't" not "should", oops!
Mr Critic - February 24, 2006 - Report this comment
Whatever. I just find it confusing when so many obscure songs are parodied. Calop has a point in his comment; whether he's right or not, I don't know, but if most people who visit the site aren't familiar with a particular O.S (original song), it ain't gonna get very many votes.
Stephen Harrington - February 25, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks for pointing out something that is already very OBVIOUS to me Mr. Critic. I'll submit whatever I want, end of discussion. Thanks for your coments. ^___^

(Looks at my last post), looks like I was in a hurry typing.

I still like this parody, and i gave it a perfect score, you did a nice job,.
Mr Critic - March 20, 2007 - Report this comment
And so, one year later, I still don't know this song, but I trust that it is perfectly paced. I just might give it a 555.
