The Lyrics

a little macabre, but clean. For every person who takes up a cause only after he is afflcted, I have a little sense of disingenuity. Your charity work for this particular cause was unknown. Sorry Chris, had you done this as a healthy man , I would never write this tune, but you became a spokesman only after it could benefit you.Like I always say. Better you than me... I chose, very unlike me, to not allow comments, because, frankly, I don't care what people think on this issue. People who do only for their own benefit, I feel are really false. I give to charity, I work for the disabled, and I fight for causes that THOSE WHO CANNOT FIGHT FOR THEMSELVES NEED ME TO HELP THEIR CAUSE. Not because I can benefit, but because I WANT to help those who cannot. I give to those who rarely want to take, but need to. These are the true heroes. Those who had no choice in the matter, but became far greater humans than myself,,and most of us. God bless them all. Peace.
I can't stand or fly,
my name is Chris Reeves,
broken in the spine,
quadraplegically,

as high as a bird,
as fast as a plane,
my chair has turbo gear, to go like a train,
and it's not easy to be Reeves

paralyzed is hell,
stem cells research takes
all my energy
for a walk I'll never take,

it may sound absurd,
but don't be naive
an equestrian, I don't believe,
but I cannot feel,
superhero, man, I can only dream,
'cause it's not easy to be Reeves

up up and away was me,
I'm not alright
I'll sleep upright tonight
it's real crazy, like everything

I can't stand or fly,
my name is Chris Reeves,
I damn nearly died,
falling from my steed,

a little wheeled man, on a motorized chair,
I can't brush my teeth, or comb my hair,
up up and away, is now just a thought
I can't wipe my nose, and clean out the snot
inside of me
inside of me
inside of me
inside of me

a little wheeled man, on a motorized chair,
I can't brush my teeth, or comb my hair,
up up and away, is now just a thought
I can't wipe my nose, and clean out the snot
and it's not easy to be Reeves
