Ah, the power of So Bad, It's Good. Still don't know how films that are So Bad, They're Horrible still find success...word of mouth is overrated, I guess.

Great idea for a title sub/theme, nicely-executed. Like Matthias, I can think of quite a few where the descriptions fits :-)
I think it applies to majority of what Michael Bay has directed.
A friend called the other night to tell me just how bad this year's Academy Award winner was. Not that I was going to see it, but I would rather hear someone else describe a film than pay to see it.

@Patrick: Birdman was amazing. You really should go see it. Your friend is crazy if he/she thinks that is a bad movie. It's amazingly shot (making it seem like it's all done in one shot) with a fun story and a great cast!
