The Lyrics

To mom, who passed away Jan 26, 2005 I loved you more than I ever said and I'm sorry for that
remember when your folks were wrong?
and when they spoke we rolled our eyes?
didn't have a clue in the world,
and what they said went whizzing by
when we soon learn our schools have failed
and we've been dumb ignoring all their tales
no more sass back, or meek assails,
it's time now apologize
they knew the way that we should go,
before we could be men
now I hear, and none goes by
I let it all sink in
we can talk right back, until we've found
our parent's love is all around us
they just smile and their defence
is this is the end
this is the end of the insolence

My mom once told of big horseflies,
and how those things were threatening
I told her shut up, out of her gourd,
but I got bit my one, and it sure did sting,
I knew all, but my thoughts failed
so I sassed her back as she told fairy tales
now I crave all those details,
so soon they all will die
they knew the way that we should go,
before we could be men
now I hear, and none goes by
I let is all sink in
we can talk right back, until we've found
our parent's love is all around us
they just smile and their defence
is this is the end
this is the end of the insolence

Now who knows how long they will last
they grow so old, so frail so fast
but somewhere back there, memories must
come and stay for all of us
now I will remember this,
no more vinegar and piss
lI didn not listen, learn and look
before we said goodbye
we can talk right back, until we've found
our parent's love is all around us
they just smile and their defence
is this is the end
this is the end of the insolence

Had I looked down from "The End of the Insulin" I would've seen that the comment I used for it was used here. I guess I'm lazy, and my own parents would agree about that.
