I wonder as I munch my toast:
Should I bake or should I roast?
Either takes a lot of time,
and the oven is caked with slime.
I clean it; “Looks good!” I boast,
“for a baking or a roast.”
In I can squeeze, squeeze, squeeze
a roast or baking job with ease.
If I bake—remove the rack
If I roast I’ll put it back.
Whatever I do, I’ll toast
results of the bake or roast.

Should I bake or should I roast now?
Should I bake or maybe roast now?
If I roast, results won’t crumble.
If I bake, pie could be humble.
This is bugging me the most.

No indigestion, though, for me
(Indigestión para mí? Nunca!)
I’m versed in arts culinary
(porque en la cocina, soy maestre)
I learned at the university
(a la universidad, aprendí)—
that is where I earned my PhD.
(doctorado alla ganado)
