Original Song Title:

"Take My Breath Away"

Original Performer:

Berlin

Parody Song Title:

"Take That Song Away"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

This began as a parody hating its original song. It almost became another screed opposing Jack-FM. I decided to make it a "Songs I Wish They Could Unsing" parody (with apologies to Stuart McArthur, who wrote a masterpiece by that title).
Barry Gibb's "Emotion," Edwards' "It's All In the Game"
throw 'em in the ocean, along with that Madonna dame!
Turning beats around and devils way down deep inside?
I sure got the notion when "Don't rock the boat" you'd say:

Take that song away!
Take that song away!

Icing down your baby, with an achy breaky heart?
Macho men in navy, don't let "YMCA" start.
You may be surviving, me, I want some place to hide.
You say, "Let's Go Crazy," but the doves, they cry and say:

Take that song away!

Please, let hours pass, deplore 'em.
In "Time" Hootie drawls away.
When "Informer" crashed, I called you, and turned to hear you say
"When those songs come on, then I am so afraid!"

Take that song away!
Take that song away!

Watch Sean Paul get busy in this foolish listener's ears.
Dan's so Steely, is he? Why's he reeling in the years?
Physical we're getting, stash that song someplace inside.
Retching to Bon Jovi, that's one "Prayer" I cannot say!

Take that song away!
My love
Take that song away!
Yes, "Take My Breath Away" is a horrible song. How good can a song be if Jessica Simpson can cover it, and it's an improvement?

LOL! BTW Michael, if you hate Jack FM and miss your oldies, check out 77WABC Sat. night, 6-10pm. They're doing an oldies show, complete with the old WABC jingles, the reverb, and even the old ads! And of course, great music, unlike Jack's lousy NY mix. ABC started the show as a direct result of Jack FM replacing WCBS-FM in NY. FYI...when CBS was replaced by JACK, its ratings went from near the top to one of the least listened to stations in NY. Whose brilliant idea was that?

Oh, good. You've done a much better job with TOS than I would have with my half-completed "Take Her Meth Away". I'll go burn that one now, thank you. 555

Thank you, everyone. Mason: Going from CBS-FM to Jack-FM was a move so dumb, I'm looking for a way to blame it on Bush, but I can't figure out how. So I'm left with the question of who else could be that dumb.
