The Lyrics

Where can you find pleasure
Search the world for treasure
Learn garbage collection
Where can you begin to make your dreams all fall flat
On the land or in the skip
Where can you learn to run
Play in sports and dumpster dive
Study waste management
Sign up for the tiny band
Or sit on the dumpster stand
When your team and others meet

In the garbage
Yes, you can throw light bulbs away
In the garbage
Yes, you can huck it all away
In the garbage
Come on now, people, make a stand
In the garbage, in the garbage
Can't you see we need a hand
In the garbage
Come on, pollute the mother land
In the garbage
Come on and join your fellow man
In the garbage
Come on people, and make a stand
In the garbage, in the garbage, in the garbage

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

If you like adventure
Don't you wait to enter
The recruiting office fast
Don't you hesitate
There is no need to wait
They're signing up new dustmen fast
Maybe you are too young
To join up today
But don't you worry 'bout a thing
For I'm sure there will be
Always stinky garbage
Polluting the land and sea

In the garbage
Yes, you can throw toliets away
In the garbage
Yes, you can huck it all away
In the garbage
Come on be bold and make a stand
In the garbage, in the garbage
Can't you see we need a hand
In the garbage
Come on, pollute the motherland
In the garbage
Come on and join your fellow man
In the garbage
Come on be bold and make a stand
In the garbage, in the garbage, in the garbage (in the garbage)

[Call & Response]
They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

Who, me?

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit

But, but, but, I'm scared of the dumpster
Hey, hey look
Man, I get carsick even watching it on the TV!

They want you, they want you in the garbage

Oh my goodness
What am I gonna do in a landfill?

They want you, they want you in the garbage

In the garbage
Yes, you can throw diapers away
In the garbage
Yes, you can huck it all away
In the garbage
Come on be bold and make a stand
In the garbage, in the garbage
Can't you see we need a hand
In the garbage
Come pollute the motherland
In the garbage
Come on and join your fellow man
In the garbage
Come on be bold and make a stand
"Dustmen" is a UK term for garbage men, and "skip" is a UK term for a dipsty dumpster.

I was in the US Navy and they thought about using the OS but at the time gays weren't 'desirable' in our military. Times have changed, the Defense Dept. heads came to their senses, but it took long for it happen. Is it that way yet in the UK military?
