The Lyrics

Was doing a project with my X-acto;
this simple tool was all I’d need
for art I planned to create…
was a little careless when I wielded that knife.
At cutting the foamcore I was bound to fail,
because I moved the device just the wrong way.
The victim of this mishap was one of my paws.

Made a mistake with the knife;
the result was a wide slice.
Blade went right into that appendage, deep.
Beaucoup de profanity I crowed
as out the blood flowed.

F**k! Cut with tool me-bleed; more heed,
indeed, to what I was doing I should have paid.
A profane screed
is what I am loudly mouthing…
would make your skin crawl.

Blood is ejecting because of my X-acto.
So now, all the gushing and my cussing are rife.
F**cked day…blood’s there—
a seep alert!

Bleeding a lake, ’cause of knife,
more than just a little slice.
Blade went right into that appendage, deep.
Now it’s incumbent to stop the flow
of all this hemo.

Dunce! Cut with tool me-bleed. And bleed.
More heed to what I was doing I should have paid.
“Tourniquet need!
to stop the inundation, go and get products from the drug store!”
is what I am loudly mouthing,
amid a glower
Friends answer my call.

They bring tools to keep
the bleeding and my bleating at bay…
seep’s beat.
Apply germ-purging powder.
“Don’t screech!” they all say—
“no leeching today.”
Then they wreathe me
with gauze and bandages…stop the flow.
No gusher!
Now better words I am mouthing (lesser curse-mouthing).
I’m thanking them all. Now dry, I sleep.
In dreams, I seep.
