Parody Song Title:

"Mister Lupin"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Yeah...just another HP parody...Book 3, to be exact...
(Stop)
Oh I've, got a problem Mister Lupin
(Wait)
Wait-ay-ay-ait Mister Lupin

Please Mister Lupin, look and see
(Oh yeah)
If there's a bogart waiting there for me
(Please, Please Mister Lupin)
He'll jump out, and then in no time
(Oh yeah)
He will morph into a fear of mine

I walked into class today
Now I'm so scared, should run away
Please Mister Lupin, look and see
If there's a bogart a-waitin' for me

I've been standin' here shakin' Mister Lupin
For the whole class to see
If you'll just check--then I'll feel better
Before it comes jumpin' out at me

(Mister Lupin)
Mister Lupin, look and see
(Oh yeah)
If there's a bogart waiting there for me
(Please, Please Mister Lupin)
He'll jump out, and then in no time
(Oh yeah)
He will morph into a fear of mine

(Neville Longbottom's KICK ASS saxaphone solo)

So many thoughts run through my mind
All the things that I just might find
So many things--but none are as scary
As a date--whose back is real hairy!

(Mister Lupin)
Mister Lupin, look and see
(Oh yeah)
If there's a bogart waiting there for me
(Please, Please Mister Lupin)
He'll jump out, and then in no time

Why don't you check it and see
One more time for me, you gotta
Battle with it
Battle with it
Battle with it
Battle with it

(Ooooh--Mister Lu-oo-oo-oo-oo-pin)
Mister Lupin, look and see

(C'mon discover the bogart, you'll calm down my scared heart)

Ahhhhhh...Mister Lupin
Ahhhhhh

(Seamus Finnigan on the Jazz Guitar)

Ooooh
Ahhhh

(Fade to end)

Neville Longbottom's KICK ASS saxaphone solo...priceless...

Thanks, Ashkicksass! I have to admit that that one line could be my favorite part of the whole thing. Little Neville...with the Long Bottom. Anyway...I see that you, TOO, posted a FABULOUS Harry Potter themed parody today!! I wasn't able to leave a comment on it, but let me just say right here that I gave it a triple 5, and that it was AWESOME!

Wow! I love well-paced kick-ass parodies like this! 555

Thanks, Johnny!! It was one of my harder ones to write. Usually I like to just sit down, and start & finish a parody all at once...but this one took a while...so...I'm glad to see your generous voting as the fruits of my labors!!

What Ashkick said, plus excellent job here. Lupin is me favorite dark arts teacher by far, so this probably woulda gotten 5's anyway, but the whole thing is excellent. Especially liked the subtle stuff: "As a date--whose back is real hairy" ;c)

Thanks a bunch, 2nz...I couldn't agree with you more. While I love the whole serious, Book 3 is my very favorite for SO many reasons...and Lupin is a HUGE one!! He's the coolest! (p.s. i don't think your vote registered...not to be a pest...but...=)...)

If we were circles before, we're square now, Miss Purdy.

Arwen - Well, even though I don't know too much about Harry Potter stuff I do know the original song and the pace is excellent. And it's a good read. So 5's for you here.
Arwen - June 02, 2004 - Report this comment
Well, Paul...thanks a lot. I, of course, highly recommend the HP books...and the movies...but the books most of all...but understand if you don't take me up on that recommendation. I mean...we all know what happened the last time you took my advice regarding the entertainment genre...I couldn't take the blow if you dissed HP like you dissed LOTR...*sigh* Oh well...thanks again for the vote...you're awesome!

Very nice...just doing some research, making sure I'm not stepping on your toes here =)

Strangely enough I can see Neville playing the sax and suddenly turning into an ultra cool musician type. All of the pretty young witches swooning at his feet. I mean Harry can't be the center of attention all of the time, but I digress. 5, 5, 5 Golden Sntiches!

Jeff...I read your comment long ago...I can't believe I never thanked you! =)
BR> And finally, it seems, my mail order FABULOUS commenter has arrived, as Kim is filling my day with smiles as I check the board. I'm with you...Neville is TOTALLY going to get the girl one of these days...=) Thanks!
Kim West - January 31, 2005 - Report this comment
There are many who believe the reason Neville is so clumsy and forgetful is because they placed charms on him when he was little. This was because of what happened to his parents. Neville is certainly staring to show signs he is much more than what he appears to be. Anyway, I think a girl would certainly make him more confident at any rate. ^-^
