The news today is somewhat grey,
It seems a lot’s gone on while I’ve been far away.
The rain’s been bad,
The worst you’ve had,
In fact, there’s never been an ordinary day

But what is worse,
The other night,
I hear that you were beaten badly in a fight.
I’ve got to know if that is true,
Had you then bitten off much more than you could chew.
