Parody Song Title:

"Ridge is a Bumbling Cipher"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Ridge Is a Bumbling Cipher

Induce fear in
One and all.
Raise color levels high,
And then let them fall.

His shoulders, wide,
His suit well-cut,
But substance can't be found.

That Tom Ridge is a bumbling cipher—
Look: the level's down.
That Tom Ridge is a bumbling cipher—
First it's up; then down.

Bush took this guy out
Of his little league:
Pennsylvania blowhard;
He'll discomfit you.

He looked the part—
Tall, dark, handsome. . .
Gone when brains handed out.

That Tom Ridge is a bumbling cipher—
Look: the level's down.
That Tom Ridge is a bumbling cipher—
First it's up; then down.

Get silver duct tape,
Single-ply
Plastic covers that line
Your windows, screens, and doorways
From things fissile
Or bad pathogens—
He's got a Quaylish mind.

First Tom Ridge has us doubling over,
Spreading fear around.
Then Tom Ridge is just bubbling over.
As he plays it down.

I just voted again, and your total stayed at one set of 5's, JB, so it ain't me....my earlier vote registered OK.

I mostly support the way Bush is carrying out the War on Terror. But I have to admit that I don't understand why we needed to create one more Cabinet position and what the color codes accomplish. Very good parody, John B.

To John Barry, I know this will sound fake, but my Mother's cousin actually wrote the words to a bridge over troubled water. He won a poetry contest sponsered by simon and garfunkel. They bought the rights to it for about $1000. I am telling you this because, his last name was also Barry, and I thought you would find that interesting. Julie
