The Lyrics

I just had to try this at least once. Fox's nickname in college was Spooky.
Is this just all lies?
Or just Spook's fantasy?
Proof I do provide
That they have abnormality.
"Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see."
I'm just an employee, but I've no apathy
You know I'm not so dumb, not so slow,
Little guy, he might glow
Anyway the morph goes doesn't seem to matter to me, to me.

Gamma just killed a man.
Radiation in his head, he was living, now he's dead.
Scully, life had just begun,
But now he's gone and lost it, so I say.
Scully, ooh, didn't dream that you would ask why.
"If I'm not back again this time tomorrow,"
Put an X, Put an X on the pane as if it matters.

Too late, I see them come,
Those needles make me whine, experiment all the time.
They're taking me now and I've got to go.
When I leave I'll try to bring back proof of truth.
Scully, hope they don't make me die.
I wish the past had been different for us all.

(instrumental)

I see a little shadow of an alien,
See them loose, see them loose, they are doing a tango.
Green blood and morphing - very, very frightening me.
Lothario (Lothario)
Lothario (Lothario)
Shape-shifting seducer is after Scullio
But, poor Fox is just a wacko that no one believes.
Don't let him be next U.F.O abductee
Spare him his life from this atrocity
We have got your bod now - will you not let me go
Your gov. says, now don't you let Fox go - no (let him go)
Your gov. says, they will not let you go (let me go)
Your gov, says, they will not let you go (let me go)
Will not let you go - let me go
Will not let you go - let me go
No,no,no,no,no,no,no
Use their ovum, Use their ovum, use their ovum, let them
grow.
On this sub there is evil put aside for us, for you, for me.

So you think you can conspire and I won't ask why?
And, if there are no clues I will just sigh?
Think maybe that you can't do this to me
Gotta get secrets - just got to tell them right here

(instrumental)

This is all that matters
Trust me, I see
This is all that matters - this is all that matters to me.

Truth is out there, I know.

Always a tough song to parody, and your efforts paid off, Adagio - you covered a lot of details in a very small space! 5's

Adagio-this is VERY good.I love the fact that you kept the rhyme scheme almost identical to the original. That's what grabs my attention."Scullio"...lol Good sense of humor here with a lot of facts.Great job!! Thx for doin' this one.(I LOVE parodies to this song!) Pacing's awesome as well. : )

Pat, You really nailed this one. This is so totally excellent. Your pacing, story line and rhyme scheme is most excellent. So well done. If this doesn't chart I weill be surprised. "The fives are out there" and I just found three for this one.

Life... is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is a... is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.

We need about a dozen more authors to sign up to make a second competition bracket. So what you waitin' for? Go check it out.
Rick D - February 22, 2004 - Report this comment
I might be interested, but I really don't have the hang of that messageboard. I was gonna wait and see how the first one went. I also find this competitive stuff a little frustrating. I find myself getting upset if I don't do well ("That one got all those votes? It's not even funny!" Damn popularity contest!) And it's almost as bad if I win or come close. ("Finally, my genius is recognised! Oh wait, That other one was much better! Damn popularity contest!) But if you need me to make it work, I'll try to control myself, and I do feel like I should be part of the team.
Adagio - February 22, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks, Rick. If we get enough people, this will be my first competition.

I found the X-files to be a somewhat one-dimensional show, they should have trown in the occasional Y- and Z-file to make it more three-dimensional, IMHO. ;-)
Good parody BTW.

(ABC-X) Good job...5's - inspite of their talent I have never been really fond of "Queen"...I don't know...I think I thought them too overly theatrical at first...and never really warmed up to them, although they certainly did have first-class production and performances...I did like a song David Bowie did with Freddie Mercury ("Pressure") quite a bit...
Adagio - January 31, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks Paul...even though it is Queen.
