The Lyrics

This is about Warren Sapp, who's keeping his fame going by replacing production on the field by distractions off the field.
Woah, why'd you shave your corn rows
Were they borin', Mr. Warren?
You sound pretty harsh when you speak (yes you do)
You say something worse every week
When you say you're a slave, it's attention you crave
'Specially since your season's weak
And its hard when we think you're a freak

You got the best defense ever you say,
Well they keep scorin', Mr. Warren
I don't know why you skip through the pre-game
Warmups of your opponents, thats lame
Why dontcha cry to Tagliabue about your fine
He'll say to you, "Sir Warren, you have just crossed the line."
And nobody wants to hear you whine, hear you whine
Nodoby wants to hear you whinin' about how unfair it is

I'll be first to admit your right. Sapp is noted for being a clown, which leads me to take anything he says, with a grain of salt. Many people were offended at his latest remarks. He'll say and do things, that are out of the ordinary, that's just Warren Sapp. I don't take him seriously, never have. I only rate the guy by what I see on the field. That's the only thing I can take seriously.

It's good to hear that you don't buy into the hype he makes for himself. He used to be a very good DT, probably one of the top 2 or 3 in the league at one point. But now, he's falling off a bit, his production shows that. But, he's still getting the hype he used to. Not to kick a dead horse here, but being a Packer fan, the respect Ive had for him dropped recently...not for the hit on Chad Clifton (which I thought was legal, but maybe unnecissary), but more for when he called out Mike Sherman after the game. I thought it was pretty childish on the part of both men. I respect both of them less after that.

I was always taught by my coaches years ago, it was all about respect. Back In the day, none of thease antics would be tolerated. When I teach football to kids today, respect is part of the the lesson. It's something that you earn. Heck, Gruden, Lynch, Brooks, those are people that are respected. All class acts, man.
