parachutes are neat, when
when they're used to break your fall,
you tie them on your back, yourself
and out the plane you crawl...
they jump out of the side door,
the static line will take the strain,
and you start a litle free fall
and the chute deploys, to save you pain

and it seems to me, you lose your life,
if it gets tangled in the wind..
never knowing, when you jump through,
if you packed it in,
and you will die, don't you doubt me
when the ground takes you in,
another lost life on the field..
as you come crashing in..

hitting trees is tough,
but not as tough as asphalt plains,
too bad you're not superman,
you'd fly right up again..
if you hit, you'll die,
when the ground has pounded you,
you're not Wile E. Coyote,
you won't get up, you're through

best thing that I've seen,
was a guy I didn't know at all,
chased a baseball at a game
over the rail he went..

that was quite a sight,
plunging down from the 22nd row,
and lands in the mezzanine,
and in the seats below..
