The Lyrics

So udumba asks congress for 800 more IRS agents.. why? to squeeze the risk takers and wealth makers of the U.S.A. Don't tell the commiecons this, but when 40 million American families pay NO TAX AT ALL and the top 5% of the earners pay over 60% of the personal income taxes, the 95% tax break was a lie from it's inception. Ahh 100 days in, the true scary socialist emerges.
Wasn't justified when it was tried
raised again..
the communist guy
ways are a changin'
now the poor get fat
the messiah's gonna scratch you
when the rich get taxed oh oh no

no meat on friday
that's all right
can't afford steak
on a Saturday night
and the rich have left
all the social do's
all the wealthy are leaving
all odumba's debt to you oh oh oh

all the rich all the rich
all the rich get taxed
good times over, now recession is back
all the rich when the rich
when the rich get taxed
'cause they pay more than you
when they're gone we'll all lose
the things that they do

you'll get the pain oof leaving brains
make a hole
by taxing gains
you won't like those
your "God" he's bad
oh he's full of nasty habits
when the rich get taxed

I'm bored with parodies of this nature. That's all I'm going to say.

From those to whom much has been given, much will be expected. Who knew that the Cayman Islands were a greater threat to America than Iraq?

Those 40 million families you refer to in your header make (approximately) less than $31,000/year (from Wikipedia) and consist of ~2.2 people. Depending on what part of the country you live in, 2 people living on $31k is incredibly hard. Are you suggesting we make it harder on them?

Anyone out there have any statistics on what total % of US wealth the top 5% earners have? That would be a better comparison.

Plus, those 800 more IRS agents are going to be dealing with corporations, not families.

What's that quote? "Lies, damned lies, and statistics?"

If you're an adult making $31000 a year then you have mad e very poor career choice. McDonalds and Seven-Eleven weren't meant to raise families on. There are too many opportunities out there to better yourself that to moan that those who have earned it have "too much". Keep em coming Malcom.
McKludge - May 05, 2009 - Report this comment
Not everyone has access to the same opportunities, Joe. Yes, people often make bad life choices, but sometimes life deals you a crappy hand that can't be improved. And sadly, some people are just too dumb for advanced education.

If you are talking individual income, not household income, then it's closer to 50% of adults who make less than $31k/year. If 50% of the people have made poor career choices, then there must not be as many opportunities as you think.

And if you worked 50 hours a week for 52 weeks a year at the average McDonalds wage of $9.75/hr, you still only made $25k/year pre-tax.

as a high school only graduate, I spent the majority of my life earning 100k a year or more. It wasn't opportunity alone. It was hard work. 60 hours plus per week. Add 4 kids and their elite figure skating and hockey, the kids got over 45k per year in AFTER TAX dollars. Thanks odumba. with your formula, I'm a bad guy. My kids should sit home and pick their noses because the recreational druggie down the street has less "opportunity" Spread the brains around before you take my hard work's rewards from my children. 4 well adjusted and happy kids because DAD took care of them. Opportunity is a four letter word. WORK. "nuff said...

i get a kick out of M.P. quoting the Bible with the to whom much is given bit. rich folks with high taxes didnt get thier income GIVEN to them, they earned it. the illegals, welfare generations and big businesses that LIBERALS SUPPORT with our taxes and bail outs DO GET $ GIVEN THEM. IT IS THEFT still the same.! laws reguarding taxes arent in God's hands, so leave God out or continue to consider Gods ideas and start picketing abortion clinics. you liberals actually feel it is ok to take more from those who have gained it? wonderful thing to teach your kids . . .

Well expressed, Malcolm (except for misspelling 'of'). Unfortunately, high taxes serve as a deterrent or punishment on successful people. When California raises taxes, people and corporations move to other states. When the United States raises taxes, risk takers stop taking risks. The level of taxable income never stays as high as the high tax rate proponents project. On the other hand, when tax rates are decreased (as they did under JFK and Reagan), tax revenues increase.

Of course, let's not forget that MP's new god is also having the well known tax cheat and traitor leech Timmy Geithner spearhead this whole hypocritical extortion attempt. How much longer this nation can live with all these vermin chewing on its hide, I don't know.

Let's say nobody gets rich by work alone, no matter how hard. It is the capital asset incomes, such as stocks, bonds and derivatives (such as options and warrants), which makes one rich. Likewise, stock speculation is usually far more productive than stock investment, especially in short term. Hard work may get you wealthy, but never rich. That is the sad truth of economy - work smarter, not harder.
