Song Parodies -> School That I'm Failing
| Original Song Title: | "More Than A Feeling" |
| Original Performer: | Boston |
| Parody Song Title: | "School That I'm Failing" |
| Parody Written by: | Andy Primus |
Can someone tell me if I'm supposed to use the original record or the lyric pages on the net. It seems like some people match it to the lyric pages (most of which are wrong) which then makes my pacing wrong in places. If I start using the pages then the pacing will be wrong to anyone who is matching it to the record. As usual with mine this is done to the original record.
I bunked off this mornin' coz my mum was gone
Stoned on some hashish to start my day
Coz on my shelf was a familiar bong
I chose my stash an' I chipped away.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today
I've had my Mary Jane smokin' away.
So many lessons have come an' gone
The pages blur but at least I try
But I can't recall as I ponder on
My brain has been stunned with a super high.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today
I've had my Mary Jane smokin' away.
When I'm wired an' smokin' gold
Pie-eyed with my joss stick, I've yet to pay
I seem not to hurl, I'm used to blow
I closed my lips and I sucked away
I sucked away.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today.
Stoned on some hashish to start my day
Coz on my shelf was a familiar bong
I chose my stash an' I chipped away.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today
I've had my Mary Jane smokin' away.
So many lessons have come an' gone
The pages blur but at least I try
But I can't recall as I ponder on
My brain has been stunned with a super high.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today
I've had my Mary Jane smokin' away.
When I'm wired an' smokin' gold
Pie-eyed with my joss stick, I've yet to pay
I seem not to hurl, I'm used to blow
I closed my lips and I sucked away
I sucked away.
It's school that I'm failing
I abuse that old bong they used to say
And I begin dreamin'
I've had three Mary Jane smokes today.
On my CD he sings 'and I begin dreaming'/he only sings 'she slipped away' twice not three times/he doesn't sing the fifth line on the final chorus.

much better than the original lyrics
What Alvin said. I've got a quartet of take-offs on the OS nearly ready to go. I suggest you not worry about such fine points as lyrics pages vs. the OR. Just for it it--whichever.
Definitely more than a feelin'. 555.
Thanks Alvin, John & Barry
You may be failing in school, but you have succeed to amuse me with this parody. Congratulations, you pass!
Thanks Dr M
You're welcome Andy. I know you can do it. Keep trying and you'll get better.
I've had my shares of occasional failures in school, but this parody deserves an A+!
Thanks Christie
