Parody Song Title:

"Mime Is Art, I Sighed"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"
"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"

Got nothing to say
Got a clown-like white face

We're cool clowns running back (holding "rope", maybe!)
Cool clowns running back (our feet sliding along the floor!)
Cool clowns running back ---
--- in pla-a-ace!

Ohh ---

"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"
"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"

You're searching for good mimes?
Well just look at my ---

Cool, fun, stunning act! (you want laughter-flurries galore?)
Cool, fun, stunning act! ("mend" a "vest" with a "knife-like tool", maybe?)
Cool, fun, stunning act ---
--- you'll smi-i-ile!

Pass a hat, pass a hat, delight an old clown!

And maybe, he'll do a thing his art inspires!

Remember, I'll always be around!

To my show, my show,
That I've shown you so many times before,
You're gonna come back, baby!

And I'll show you how a mime goes "knocking"
Yeah, "knocking" an un-seen "door" !
Yes!
YES!!

Well ---

"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"
"Mi-i-i-ime is art," I sighed --- "yes, it is!"

'Cause I got the white gloves ---
--- the kind a mime needs!

Fool's dumb funny act! ("saw" through "wood", maybe!)
Fool's dumb funny act! (I crawl ways dumb fools would!)
Fool's dumb funny act ---
--- you'll see-ee-ee!

"Yes, mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed, "yes, it is!"

"Mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed, "yes, it is!"

"Oh, mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed, "yes, it is!"

I said, "Mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed, "yes, it is!"

"Oh, mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed...

"Yeah, mime - mime - mime - is art," I sighed...

Man, you sure weren't clowning around when you put this piece together...great presentations - and it sure is funny. 5's ~ ~ ~

Loved the variations in the choruses. I would like to hear this one performed by mimes :-) 555

Johnny: Way to make up a good one. As Billy Crystal taught us, "A mime is a terrible thing to waste." Paul: Damn, you got to the obvious joke first. Rick: You're out of luck. As we all know, a mime's favorite song is "The Sound of Silence."

There are many musicians today who call themselves "artists" who I wish had specialized in mime instead of their chosen style of music. Very well done, JD.
