The Lyrics

Did you miss the last Presidential debate? Don't worry, there will be many others before the parties pick their nominees.
(guitar intro)

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
I was sleepy and
there ain't no face I'm voting for.

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
In the spin-doctoring morning
it's a harrowing bore.

Take me for a trip upon this rat-jump sinking ship.
All my senses they have stripped.
And Mitt Romney's such a drip.
Don't like Rudy's drag-queen clips.
Waiting only for
his 9/11 shtick again.

I'm ready to go anywhere
maybe to the actor Fred
though he sounds like he is dead
and the others lost their head.
I promise, I'll take John McCain.

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
I was sleepy and
there ain't no face I'm voting for.

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
In the spin-doctoring morning
it's a harrowing bore.

Hillary is back again
but she bores me to tears.
Edwards makes me want some beers.
And Obama don't bring cheers.
Waiting only for
a pulse Bill Richardson to bring.

I'm ready to go voting for
someone who'll give me aid
so I won't be so afraid
of the crimes Bush hasn't paid.
I promise to go vote-casting.

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
I was sleepy and
there ain't no face I'm voting for.

Hey, missed the pandering, man.
That was wrong of me.
In the spin-doctoring morning
it's a harrowing bore.

Great job! Especially loved the chorus...and agree! When a hardcore political junkie such as myself is bored to tears eleven months before the election, we've got problems. 555

Captures the spirit of this election better than anything you'll hear in the mainstream media. So many candidates to vote against, so none to vote for. "rat-jump sinking ship", a line I wish I had written. "Harrowing bore", pure poetry. I'm glad to see parodists using older melodies that I remember.
